Memory Furniture in a Forever Home
3cs member Tracy Beavis of Found My Niche recently crafted a bespoke piece of furniture for an old friend and we love it.
One of my lovely Facebook Group members has given me permission to tell our experience.
Sharon and I have known each other for over 25 years.
I was, many moons ago, Sharon’s Slimming World consultant. We had common desires to lose weight and to start a family.
Mother Nature had other ideas. Fast forward 23 years and our paths crossed again we both now, thanks to modern science for me and adoption for Sharon, have our families.
That I have been able to create a piece of furniture for her was so special (see image).
Sharon suffers from Lupus which meant that her family needed to relocate to a purpose adapted bungalow, something they have waited a long time for. The week I took on this project was the week the heard they had got that forever home.
The china, now proudly displayed, was collected by Sharon and her husband whilst her girls were very young. Their dream was to one day share family meals and make wonderful memories.
This Christmas, despite CV19 and all the crap that’s come with it, they did.
This is #memoryfurniture at is most beautiful. Making and treasuring something that not only looks stylish in Sharon’s new forever home but is housing those items that will go on to be cherished by future generations.
